If you are a teen or adult with PKU, or the parent of a child with PKU, the resources in this section can help you better handle the challenges of staying on-diet, keeping Phe levels low, and consistently taking the formula.

Special Fall Event! – PKU Cooking Classes in October!

Weekend cookingKathy Cody, Registered dietician and PKU Account Manager at BioMarin, is hosting these two fun and informative classes, one in Portland, ME and one in Bangor, ME. Here are the details:


Saturday, October 3, 2015, 10am-2pm

WHAT: This special free event is designed for people with PKU and their families. You’re Invited!

Join Chef Sara Sullivan for a day of cooking the low-protein way! You will take away useful cooking and nutritional tips, as well as a variety of easy and delicious recipes for all members of the family to enjoy. At the end of the event, enjoy the recipes prepared that day!

Hear Mitzie Grant, PhD, of Drexel University College of Medicine, speak about “PKU, Phe Levels, and the Brain.”

COST: There is no cost to attend this event! It is sponsored by BioMarin Pharmaceutical Inc.

This big collection of recipes is for adults, teens, and kids. It was developed as part of the PKU Resource Mothers program at Boston Children’s Hospital.  Many of the recipes’ authors are women who have PKU, and who managed healthy pregnancies!
