A low-protein recipe for kids and adults with PKU —
from the Resource Mothers Handbook

“Sounds crazy but is wonderful, even if you don’t like turnip!”

3 cups (384 gm) cooked turnip
1 cup (128 gm) cooked carrot
2½ Tbl (38 gm) butter
salt and pepper to taste

Mix turnip and carrots together well in either a food processor or in a bowl with a potato masher. Add butter and salt and pepper to taste. Freezes well. Yield: 4 cups.
